Basic requirements for immigration are as follows:

  • The applicant must have more than five years of education and professional experience in the arts, sciences, or mathematics.

  • Obtain three letters of recommendation from your seniors.
  • Obtain letters of recommendation from previous and current employment.

Only once you have requested an endorsement from one of the six endorsing organisations recognised by the Home Office are you qualified to apply for the visa.

What Paperwork Is Necessary for the Global Talent Visa?

Here’s a list of documents for the Global Talent Visa:

  • Passport in its original form, with a minimum remaining validity of six months as of the application deadline for the visa.
  • One recent colour photo the size of a passport that shows the entire face.
  • evidence of residency Either a copy of the national identification card or a utility bill, such as a phone, water, or electricity bill
  • Certificate from the employer serving as proof of profession. A copy of the student’s identity card from the school must be attached in the case of students.
  • A statement of funds Endorsement of foreign cash equal to $150 USD per application, a copy of an international credit card, or an updated bank statement demonstrating sufficient funds to cover the cost of the trip to India are all acceptable.
  • Test results for tuberculosis: If the applicant is from one of the nations on the Home Office’s TB testing list, a letter confirming a negative tuberculosis (TB) test is required.

What possibilities are there for researchers and academic experts to get endorsements under the Global Talent Visa category?

There are 4 endorsement options that the Global Talent category supports.

  • Individual Fellowship: This expedited approval. Applicants who have received an individual fellowship from the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Royal Society, or the British Academy are eligible for this award. The applicant must meet the eligibility requirements of holding the fellowship at the time of application or within the previous 12 months prior to the application date.
  • Senior Appointments: This fast-track endorsement scheme is open to applicants who hold a reader, professor, associate professor, or similar senior position (such as Senior Group Leader) at a UK Higher education institution. In this instance, the Royal Society, British Council, and Royal Academy of Engineering coordinate the endorsement procedure.
  • Endorsed Funder: This recommendation option is designed for academics and researchers. A UKRI-approved and -endorsed funder must include the applicants’ names and/or employment positions in a successful grant application. The institutions indicated in Annex 2 of the Global Talent Immigration Rules must host or appoint the applicants.
  • Peer Review: This Global Talent scheme is a typical endorsement option for applicants who are willing to apply for comprehensive peer review done by the Royal Society, British Academy or Royal Academy of Engineering.
